The Lesbian Therapists Referral Network (LTRN) is an organization of lesbian psychotherapists who provide psychotherapy to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in the New York City metropolitan area. Although our therapists are primarily in the boros of New York City, we also have affiliates in some areas commutable to New York City.

The Lesbian Therapists Referral Network was founded in 1994. In contrast to the "lesbian and gay affirmative" therapy providers, we decided to provide the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community with a network of psychotherapists who openly identified as lesbian psychotherapists.

In choosing a therapist, it is important to find someone with whom you feel comfortable as well as a therapist with expertise in the issues you may be presenting in therapy. If knowing that your prospective therapist is lesbian may be a factor in helping you to choose a therapist, we are here to help.
